Aim

The aim of realisation of exercise via the internet is for two reasons.

Firstly is given the occasion in our students and not only, using the services that the internet offers , to practise in the particular experiment.

Secondly our students they are prepared better in the particular laboratorial exercise and more specifically in the line of exercises. Realising the corresponding experiments in the laboratory the students conceive the difference between the assimilated system and the real one, which hold a lot of surprises in the engineers that working with it.

Generally

In the assimilated system we can realise the exercise "Level control of liquid" via the internet or the local network of Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus.

It should be taken into consideration that even thought we make a great effort so that we have the better possible adjustment, this cannot replace in no case the experience that the student will acquire when it realises the exercise in the natural system. The natural contact with the instruments and the settlements that should be used so that we could realise the various experiments of exercise cannot be replaced from the keyboard and the mouse!!

Practical part

  1. The levels diagram that is presented in our screen is the one of the next form.

  2. The experiments that can be realised are:
    1. Measurements of characteristics of stages of the system.
      1. Measurement of the starting voltage of the pump.
      2. Measurements and recording the characteristic of the range pump interface.
      3. Measurements for the calculation of analog controller amplification (Loop Gain).
      4. Measurements for the calculation of the gain of ranges pump interface and pump.
      5. Measurements for the calculation of the sensory height gain.
      6. Measurements for the calculation of constant time of water tower-sluice valve. (place sluice valve to 0°).
    2. Measurements in the closed system.
      1. Recording the response of system for several rates of analog controller amplification (Loop Gain). (place sluice valve to 0°).
  3. We follow the steps of corresponding experiment as they were described in the previous pages.
  4. The connections are realised simply by draging the mouse with stepped the left button from one point (numbered blue region)of the diagram to the other. Are not allowed arbitrary connections.
  5. The connections that should become for each experiment appear in the next table.

    3 Measurements for the calculation of analog controller gain (Loop Gain). 10 with 5 and 6 with the voltmeter M3.
    4 Measurements for the calculation of the gain of ranges pump interface and pump. 10 with 7 and 8 with 9.
    5 Measurements for the calculation of the sensory height gain. 10 with 7 and 8 with 9
    (voltage report 6 V).
    6 Measurements for the calculation of constant time of water tower-sluice valve. (place sluice valve to 45°). 1 with 11.
    7 Measurements in the closed system. 10-3 / 1-2 / 4-5 / 6-7 / 8-9 / 1-11 and 4 with the voltmeter M3.

    Where it is presented the icon (button) with the word "Start" for the realization of the corresponding experiment it should simply be pressed.

  6. As soon as the connections of the corresponding experiment are completed , the ranges that are not used,are entered in the background of the figure. The controls that are required are presented so that be done the settings for the realisation of the corresponding experiment. In the next figure it appears the connection for the realization of the experiment (Measurements for the calculation of analog controller gain(Loop Gain).

  7. After the termination of experiment, and so that we proceed in other connection, simply we move the cursor in one from the points that we have connected and we press one time the left button.
  8. You can repeat as times as you want the each experiment. The measurements that are realised are not stored in some file and it should be record by you. You have to do the same for the diagrams of time response.
